I swear on my mother's life, the one doll that barely looks like a doll, at 15:29, next to the raggedy ann doll, my boyfriend put it there. can't really say i'm overly font of these so called paranormal tours. In my eyes they are just cash grabs preying on gullible people. Not to discredit Autumn at all. Even in Fortune telling there are two types of artists, those who scam people and those that truly believe in their own supernatural powers. not realizing they have taught themselves common techniques and mistaking it for a "gift". i believe paranormal tours like these are not much different from the fortune tellers i just described. Either they exist solely to make a quick and easy buck or because the people running them really believe in their stories. The black box with an antenna on top with a single red light that powers on randomly just reeks of bullshit to me, its just such a non-scientific piece of equipment with no proper readings whatsoever. Same with the EMF reader, they can be very sensitive and electromagnetic fields are all around us all the time anyway. Whenever you search for something paranormal, anything that you cannot immediately explain will automatically be labeled as paranormal, even though there is more than likely a very reasonable explanation for it. I don't want to be a party pooper at all, but i think selling people bullshit intentionally, be it a haunted tour, fortune telling or speaking with the dead is just morally wrong. As a magic enthusiast in my earlier years i have come to agree with pen and teller more and more. They state that magic and wonder are great things to experience but one should never attempt to pass of any magical trick as actual magic. same goes with haunted tours and fortune telling. they are great entertainment and i have tremendous amount of respect for the people that are able to create convincing effects but i lose all of that respect whenever they do not come clean about the truth. Case in point, the infamous oujia board was originally made by..... wait for it...... Parker Brothers! The same company that brought you the classics like Risk, Cluedo and Monopoly! fun for the whole family. If this most famous tool of ghost hunting is easily proven to be the fruits of capitalism and gullible humans than how can we possibly take any other nonsense seriously?
