  • it was neither a fantasy nor realistic. it’s what and who joker is. a force that nature can’t reckon with. there is always some type of truth to the madness or fantasy. he was scene as a nobody and was able to be smart of enough to use that and get away but he wanted to be noticed so the end, he made it happen.

  • It has to be real because if all that didn't happen then how did he become joker

  • I just finished my 4th viewing n its obvious hes in Arkham hospital the entire time. His first scene with his therapist shows 11:11 on the clock n when it cuts to him in the hospital the clock also says 11:11 and the rooms are identical. Hes simply retelling his story to the hospital psychiatrist. And his account of his own story is filled with confabulation.

  • Believing the events of the movie are based in reality of Actions from Authur makes it a sore watch but, given the context of him creating the movie himself it makes so much more sense...

  • When you put it in context of it all being a joke in his mind up until the point of killing the Nurse at the end. It really makes the movie 1000% better in my opinion. I was on the fence about how i felt about the movie but, in the context of a mentally ill patient losing it and creating his entire reality. It makes sooooo much more sense and makes me even want to watch it again and again.

  • The worst for me was Bruce Wayne. He did not act like a normal boy from the start. He looks like an unemotional shell of a human much before his parents were killed in front of him. Do the filmmakers know anything about how kids typically act??? Have they ever met a kid?

  • What if the dark knight/ Batman and everything was all made up in jokers head, Bruce Wayne parents really died of old age and Bruce Wayne took over their company and estate but never became Batman. What if it was all made up in jokers mind 🤔

  • The part that is in question is not whether it was made up. But whether Wayne is really Joker's father or he was just adopted, there is evidence supporting both claims to some extent.

  • HIS LAUGHING SCENE AT THE END IS WAY FURTHER IN THE FUTURE, HE LAUGH BECAUSE HE WAS REMEMBERING HIS PAST, HIS PAST IS THE WHOLE MOVIE WE WATCHING, THE ONLY DELUSION IS SOPHIE, I ASSUME IN THE FUTURE BRUCE WAYNE TURN BATMAN AND YOU KNOW FIGHT JOKER DAY BY DAY UNTIL.LAST CATCHES HIM, PUT HIM IN THE ARKHAM ASYLUM, AND THAT IS WHAT HAPPEN, AS YOU CAN SEE TOO AT THE ENDING ARTHUR HAD SOME BEARD ALREADY.. SO I CAN ASUMME THIS IS IN THE FUTURE WELL ITS MY THEORY BECAUSE THE DIRECTOR ITSELF WANT WATCHERS TO HAVE THEIR OWN OPPINION

  • It’s not ALL a fantasy. This is normie shit. It’s a JOKER origin. How else do you think he becomes the clown prince of crime? He’s the boss. He runs Gotham and this tells a different way of how that came to be. He’s mentally ill, sadistic, and delusional but he didn’t imagine it.

  • I think it was all real and the ending means that later on he got arrested and sent to an asylum. Hes laughing at the fact that he has or had the power to guide the city into madness. Thats why when he says “you wouldnt get it”, he meant that the psychologist wouldn’t understand why it makes him happy and laugh

  • I liked this movie particularly for its, relatively, realistic style and storyline. Whereas I still prefer the Batman triology overvall, it never convinced me that its stories could happen in real life (not that it´s a point, but just to say). Whereas, in this movie, I was left at the end thinking: "You know, this is a depiction of The Joker that I could actually believe to be plausible in real life." He is very, very human. Even though the "imaginary" take would leave him more mysterious, as in the other films, getting to know the Joker character in this very "raw" and humanly vulnerable way provided a really strong and profound experience.

    Jacob SæløJacob Sælø5 วันที่ผ่านมา
  • Makes for more sense and enjoyment to imagine (no pun intended!) that story was from his real life, rather than all completely made up in his imagination. My humblest opinion. ;)

  • I think Arthur was supposed to be schizophrenic because he made us believe things that didn’t happen plus the movie is full of mental illness. It makes sense if he wanted to make us believe he was in a sense a hero to Gotham because if your schizophrenic you believe whatever making other believe it

One of the truest original phenomenal movies, I've seen in years . That totally gripped me in , from start to finish instant classic. Joaquin Phoenix ,deserves an Oscar for it . He's performance was faultless , no one could have played it better .

  • I think Murray was a dick in reality (maybe). This takes place in Gotham and to Joker's point people are callous and dont care about others. In Gotham him making fun of Arthur wouldn't be career suicide it would probably drive ratings. Even more so Murray was nice to him back stage but still played the video again for the auduence to make fun of him. Maybe suggesting that being a dick and cold to the down trodden was the preferred behavior of the culture of Gotham and being kind would not do good for ratings.
