Dirt Cheap Lithium Battery! Cheaper than Lead Acid. You will love this thing!

All sources below are out of stock, including the one I bought these batteries from. DO NOT PURCHASE THE BATTERY WITH MISSING BMS CABLES!! People are actually bidding on it, and it has been over discharged and the red light is on. This thing is worthless! You need to find good condition valence batteries on ebay. More will be in stock in due time, so keep an eye on ebay listings. And yes, the price has increased for many listings ever since I made this video. Most sources are completely out of stock. If you want a cheap lithium battery that is not used, check out my website: www.mobile-solarpower.com/lithium-batteries.html

  • For those commenting who did not watch the video above: Yes they are out of stock. Yes I bought them for $300 for 2. Yes there are other higher priced listings. Don't buy them. Yes it has a BMS. Please watch the video to learn this. Every time a battery or something does well in my video, it's out of stock within a hour. Or 3 hours max. Happens nearly every time. Be sure to hit the bell so you are notified when my videos are posted unless you will miss out on future deals. There will be more batteries to come. I have seen huge listings for these batteries and NO ONE bought them for weeks. Now that this video is up, we need to fight for them. It's a bummer, but that's the way it is. I will update the links on this video whenever I see a new listing. Thanks :) I love mine! So glad I got them early on haha! Also!! If you need a super cheap lifepo4 battery, the next best option is the ruixu, which can be found here: www.mobile-solarpower.com/lithium-batteries.html I update the links on my website DAILY and am always checking for new sources, so please check it if you want a good deal.

    • +DIY Solar.... What makes you think your inverter is 90% efficient? I can tell you right now that it isn't. Any ratings they give you is meaningless because they typically give you the maximum that is only achieved at a given load that is entirely resistive. So it may be that if you hook up a 500 watt incandescent light bulb, it's 90% efficient. But change the bulb to 300 watts and it drops to 80% or put a 500 watt fan on it and it drops to 70-80% efficient. I guarantee you that if you measure the power coming out of the battery and the power coming out of the inverter and you average it, you are NOT going to get 90% efficiency.

We usually play a soundtrack for 1 minute continuously on a system of about 20.000 watts speaker output power. What type of Lithium battery at what capacity and how many would you recommend? Your advice will be highly appreciated.

    • @top 5 if you just don't wanna/cant get your hands on that... to be safe charge it to 13.4v and then let it rest for a few hrs... it will internally balance .... (burn each cell bank with resistors to 3.36v) then hit it again at 5a to ‭14.1‬ .... the closer to the top these get, the faster they go... same for the bottom....and they don't wanna be stored at high or low charge for long times. keep or rest them between 20% and 80%ish... 10v at the terminal is a dead ass battery.. if you see a red flashing light on that battery ..that's no good... its prob over or under charged...it should be green or no light at all.... the board in the side of that thing stops working somewhere under 10v... most times you can wake them back up by applying 13v-14- charger... but every time you do that... your damaging the battery.. also the bms can open the string at critical low voltage . the B connector is for "battery side coms proprietary modbus" and CanBus output to plc.. also analog voltage and soc output.. and bms and battery coms power.. the A connector is where it can control external relays,contactors,chargers,,,ect... we dont use the A connector at all... we use the can bus info to have our PLC's do the rest.

I have spoken to the factory tech support and engineer he states that they have units that are over 10 years old and still running at top performance. You might look in to the charging head units that are made by triplight if you can find them, or scavenge them from the medical carts that the batteries are pulled from.

  • I work in the telecommunications industry. Once, after a site took lightning, we had multiple battery failures in the -48V battery system. Solar and wind systems are going to take lightning hits. Do you really think it's wise to use this battery technology, which is dependent on a solid-state BMS to avoid destruction, in a system that will eventually take a lightning hit? To me, these batteries are an excellent way to burn my house down. I avoid them both at work and home.

    • LiFePO4 is non combustible. You need to hit the books buddy, maybe you're not up to date with li-ion chemistries. This is used in medical carts in hospitals with multiple protection features, it's fine. If you would like to present an argument with some part of the schematic, let me know. And going by your experience, it sounds like you have no clue about LiFePO4.

  • Question. After watching your video on these I went and bought two brand new 12V 138ah Valence batteries. Got them at a decent price but then later learned that they have to be connected to an external BMS as the internal one doesn’t disconnect for over/under charging or low temp without it. I’ve scoured the internet trying to find it to no avail. Any suggestions on how to bypass this or maybe another external BMS that could work?

    Jeremy CareyJeremy Carey12 วันที่ผ่านมา
    • @DIY Solar Power with Will Prowse Thank you for the quick response! Also I love your videos! Yeah its unfortunate, but I still believe that these batteries will be worth it. I have read that the internal BMS' on these also fail quite often. Given that and the fact that finding the U-BMS from the company is difficult, would you suggest that I just by a third-party BMS?

      Jeremy CareyJeremy Carey11 วันที่ผ่านมา
    • Oh crap! That's a different model than these. What a bummer. And yes you can buy the BMS separate. Find the manual for your battery on Google search, then find the name of the BMS module. Usually isn't that expensive.
