Scenes like this proves that Superman is a stu type of character. You can't bring more depth to him when he's a character like this.
@Moon Door there's definitely depth to him. He always strives to do the right thing despite the doubts, insecurities and fear that we all Face. That's incredibly difficult, mentally. He also knows that, no matter how hard he tries, he can't save everyone despite being the most powerful being on earth and being know to be. And yet he still does. Plus he's an alien who's entire race, to him at this time, doesn't exist anymore. Just to name a few. There's so much to mine.
Moon Door no in general that’s why he’s so highly relevant till this day. Anyone who truly knows comic books, know that Batman, Spider-Man, Superman, X-Men, Flash & Daredevil have the best storylines.

@E3A2 trettel this movie gave superman no character development and hardly anything to say. I think Snyder only agreed to make MOS so he could make a batman movie, batman got all the character development in this movie.
